The Byzantine chain pattern is an ancient one. It originated during the Byzantine era and has been passed down through the generations. Chain makers taught their apprentices to make it; the apprentices in turn taught their apprentices. Today, Byzantine chain-making is taught in many jewelry classes, and the chain is made throughout the world. Ours is guaranteed sterling and comes in three widths.
